Every so often there comes an album that even the most a.d.d. of listeners like myself can’t help but listen to from start to finish.  Gardens & Villa self-titled debut is that kind of album.

Hailing from Santa Barbara, CA…the 5 piece indie rock band were college friends who started Gardens & Villa in 2008 .  The band cites musicians like Prince and the Talking Heads as their influences.  I think its pretty much safe to say you will be hearing them everywhere in the near future.

The visuals in this video kind look like the way their sound is described…familiarly soft and hazy, strong and psychedelic, a little crazy and kind of …gothic?

My current favorite is this enchanting version of Orange Peel with Honey I’m Home (check the flute)
